Watercolor Essentials: Controlling Line, Wash, and Color

Watercolor starts here.  The illusive media can have a mind of its own and can be muddied very quickly.  This class helps the student learn how to use flat and round brushes, the ratio of water to pigment for bold saturation, transparent color, and dry brush effects.  These techniques will be applied to create a finished work of art.  All levels of experience are welcome.

Project:  simple flowers

NOTE: This is the first class in an 8-week watercolor series. In each class students will learn different foundational techniques to help them become more proficient in the medium. Each class will be a separate unit and not necessarily a building block. Students may register for any combination of the Watercolor Essential classes that they choose.
