Watercolor Essentials: Painting Trees and Shrubs

For many students, making trees look authentic can be a daunting process as they can be cartoon-looking, lifeless and generic.  In this class, the student will learn to be looser with their washes and strokes when needed.  They will also learn to be bolder and more restricted with their lines to add finishing touches to the trees and foliage. All levels of experience are welcome.

Project: forest scene

NOTE: The Watercolor Essential classes are offered weekly from September 10 to October 29.  Each week’s lesson will cover a separate foundational technique to help students become more proficient in watercolor.  Each class will be a separate unit and not necessarily a building block. Students may register for any combination of the Watercolor Essential classes that they choose.
