Watercolor Essentials: Negative Space Painting
What makes a subject jump out is by applying color around it to create depth. The negative space becomes just as important as the positive space in that it creates the drama and variety of values that lets the focal point shine. All levels of experience are welcome.
Project: A stand of trees
NOTE: The Watercolor Essential classes are offered weekly from September 10 to October 29. Each week’s lesson will cover a separate foundational technique to help students become more proficient in watercolor. Each class will be a separate unit and not necessarily a building block. Students may register for any combination of the Watercolor Essential classes that they choose.
