Teapots That Might Hold Water
This class demonstrates the oldest form of pottery craftsmanship, the coil. The instructor will provide a mold for the student to shape their coils around in order to make the contour shape. The coils will form a pattern and the complexity of the pattern is designed by the student. Then the class will make spouts, handles and lids and discuss what makes a good teapot. However, making the perfect teapot takes practice which is why the class is named Teapots That Might Hold Water.
The instructor will bisque fire all of the tea pots, dip them in a glaze then glaze fire them.
