Mixed Media Art Journals
In this class students will learn an uncomplicated process for making basic art journals. They will be using paper and paint. The journals will be folded and hand stitched together. The covers and pages will be made using collage techniques and color mixing. Students will be able to record ideas in their journals using colors and words.
About Daris Judd
Daris is a mixed media artist who has been making art journals for over 25 years. She has taught art journaling throughout the area, including Sandpoint, Blanchard, Coeur d’Alene, and Spokane. She also offers private workshops in her Bayview, Idaho studio.

Supply List
3-4 colors plus black and white acrylic craft paint
Medium size brushes
A pencil
Scissors
Mod Podge or acrylic gel medium
A glue stick
A paint pallet (a paper plate or piece of wax paper will work)
A small selection of collage papers or old magazines
Any extra papers you would like to use.
Stamps to use with paint (optional)
A water cup
Paper towels
Supply FEE
Heavy paper, printing papers, waxed thread and waxed string will be provided by the instructor for a $5.00 supply fee. Please bring cash to the first class session.
