Gelli Plate Printmaking
A comprehensive Gelli Plate printing course that covers all gel print and design topics. The course fosters a spirit of experimentation aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge to create a wide range of unique and expressive prints.
working with color
Since color perception is highly subjective, we will explore Joseph Albers' initial exercises, designed to make students aware of perceptual shifts and help them better understand how colors interact and influence one another. We will also practice color blending techniques for creating smooth transitions and engaging color combinations on the gel plate.
Week One - Color Theory: Understanding color interaction
Week Two – Color Grouping and choosing a palette
Week Three - How to use color to create mood and atmosphere.
