Students may bring or create their own design or use templates provided by the instructor. Tesserae for the design will include a variety of stained glass, pottery, tile, stone, beads, and gems. Glass cutting as well as nipping and shaping techniques will be presented along with basic concepts in color and composition.
In the second 3-hour class students will learn how to grout their original mosaic for a completed project that can be used as a trivet or wall hanging. All tools and materials will be provided.
