Art Talk #4

Women’s Voices

Female artists, once overlooked due to societal limitations, gender expectations, and systemic biases, have now rightfully claimed their place in art history. In many cases, art history has been rewritten to accommodate influences that were previously hidden, not understood, or ignored. This talk, a celebration of the work of significant female artists who have shaped and transformed Art History, is not just an event, but an essential moment in the ongoing narrative of art history. Despite the challenges that restricted women’s access to expressive rights and undervalued their work compared to male artists, women have been leaders and influencers throughout history. Although this talk could be considered feminist in perspective, in a desire to be inclusive, it will not represent the genre of feminist art.
