Coil Building Cups and Mugs

Students will explore the versatility of building with coils during this ceramic clay class. They will be making cups or mugs. During this 4-week class, students will learn tips for rolling smooth, even coils, different techniques for building with coils, a variety of methods for making handles, and they will have the opportunity to experiment with underglazes. Students will look at a few examples of other potters’ work, have some time for sketching out ideas, and just having fun with clay. All levels are welcome.
